Your Doodle

SRDF is happy to welcome you!  We know how excited you are about having a little dood!  Here is a list of things that must be noted for your homecoming dood!  Be sure to schedule a "post buy" vet appointment.  We recommend within a four day period of welcoming your dood home.

Recommended list:

  • Food  ~  Your dood will be on Wild & Free (Salmon and Sweet Potato blend) for puppies and seniors.  We feed the doods twice per day.  Once your dood arrives home, 1 1/2 - 2 cups per day.  This amount needs to be divided into two meals or three even meals.
  • Training Treats  ~  these little doods love the chewy soft milk bones!  They are soft and can be broken into small pieces.  You are welcome to choose anything that is soft and easy to chew.
  • 100% Pumpkin (can) has been known to help stabilize a dood's stool.  A change in environment can be stressful.  By adding pumpkin to their diet adds extra fiber which can correct a loose stool.  We only recommend a few tablespoons.  A can of 100% Pumpkin can be obtained at your local grocery store.  Also, we recommend probiotics.  You know... probiotics are good for two and four-legged friends.
  • Food & Water dish  ~  We recommend a raised bowl.  This allows the dood to eat slowly... decreasing stomach upset and/or overeating.
  • Super cool bed, pillow, chew toys... and of course, a blanket!
  • Crate  ~  We recommend crate training your dood.  Be sure to get a dood sized crate which is 26 to 36 inches high!
  • Toys  ~  Doods love toy bones, nyla bones (teething), non-stuffed toys, kong toys, etc.
